20 deltagere).
About Lab. Immagine Sensoriale
To seduce means to lead someone astray from one's road. To let oneself being seduced therefore means to venture into an unknown territory. This is exactly what this Copenhagen wandering is about: to explore infinite individual cities, the personal city map. To walk the path of seduction means to welcome the invitation of transformation. It means to experience a condition which, on a deep level, changes our perception of our city and makes us unrecognizable to ourselves. It means accepting the challenge of loosing oneself in order to be found again.
Maps are selective reprensentations of reality. Even if maps were life-size photographs they would be distorsions. A three-dimensional, spherical object, such as the globe, cannot be presented in two dimensions without its essence being altered. Maps are not life-size. They are models, not portraits. On the contrary, we would like to create a portrait map. A portrait doesn't bring any answers to the question: "Who are you?" It is the answer to the question: "Who am I?"
The aim of the workshop is to investigate the following questions: Which kind of relationship is establised between people in physical proximity? What kind of human collaboration can take place in need? What is the effect of lying down on a bench amongst other people or of walking alone down a dark corridor?
The project is intended primarily for artists of every discipline, craftsmen, and architects. However, everyone who's interested is welcome. The workshop aims to develop a performer's competence in making an urban labyrinth in Copenhagen.
The workshop ends with a performance on the 4th of August from 19 to 22 hrs (hours may change).
All participants will take part in the performance. Comfortable clothes are recommended
